Does the Library provide wireless internet access services?

The Library currently offers the following wireless Internet access services:

1. WIFLY: In cooperation with the Taipei Wireless Broadband Network Construction Project, the Library engaged the outsourced service provider Qware Communications, Inc. to install Wi-Fi access points in our branches throughout the city, beginning in late June 2006 (WIFLY), in order to provide citizens with indoor wireless Internet access in our branches. Library patrons are still required to purchase wireless Internet access cards or join as members before they can take advantage of this service.

2. Taipei Free: In coordination with the Taipei Free Public Wireless Internet Access program (Taipei-Free), the Library engaged the outsourced service provider Global Mobile Corp. to install Wi-Fi access points in our branches throughout the city in late June 2011 (Taipei Free). On July 1, free public wireless Internet was simultaneously launched in municipal buildings and many indoor locations throughout the city.
